Why Do We Need Friends

We need friends for many reasons,
all thoughtout the four seasons.

We need firneds to comfort us
when we are sad,
and to have fun with ur when we are glad.

We need friends to give us good advice.
We need someone we can count
on to treat us nice.

We need friends to remember us
once we have passed
sharing memories that will always last

You Can't Make It On Your Own

in our acting academy class, all of us were split up into three group, and given a challenge. our challenge was to meet contacts in the acting as a professional actor, a photopgrapher who specializes in actor headshots, a professional producer, an acting school, and lastly an acting agency in Toronto. for each contact we found, we had to take a picture with the person as well as get their business card. but the biggest part of the challenge was to make some kind of a conection with that person whcih could benefit the class. my group had won the first challenge so we wanted to continue our streak. our biggest road-block was trying to find an acting acency since on of us were able to make it all the way to toronto. so my group hat to come up with a plan B. to make up for losing that contact. We came up with two etra contact as special guests our biggest contact was getting the professinal photographer to come in and take headshots of our class free our charge!

though the whole ecperience i learnt that in certain industries like the entrainment one it is near impossible to get anywhere without how those contact and connection. i had always known that as actors we needed to have contacts asn a network of people but after completing this challenge it showed me just how improtant it is. also that you have to have the right people to make it big time!

An unforgetable day

this week we had a very special guest in our acting academy class her name is Olunike Adeliyi she's and actor who live in Toronto and stars on one of my favourite shows Flashpoint. it turns out to be that Olunike was a former student of my current teachers. she came to talk us about her experiences in the acting industry, and how she go to where she is now. and i have to say that that whole entire hour and 2o minutes that she was in our class was a simply inspiring!

some of the best adivce i have ever gotten came from that day. the one thing that i will never forget is when she talked about not letting people take advange of you by knowing yourself and why you want, she said that you have to make sure you are confident and don' t let any one try and convince you that you need them.
Olunike was truly a blessung to our class. she changed my perspective on how i see the film industry and made me aware of so many things i never thought about.

auditions

yesterday I had my audition of my school's Mainstage play. and it was definitely a never wracking experience to say the least. it was funny up until the last minute before my audition I was fine I was laughing it up and having fun with all of my friends who were also auditioning watching them going in one after the other. maybe it had to do with the fact that I was the very last addition that the would be seeing. I was standing at the door waiting for my turn to go in, and all of a sudden a wave of worry and anxiety came over me, (and on top of all of that I really had to pee lol.) but in the end I held my head up, took a deep breath and did what i came to do, and made sure I had fun doing it too! although I didn't get a part in the play, I still have fun and it was one more experience form me to learn from. and on the bright side i am now one of two student stage managers of the production, I guess all those years of being back stage are finally paying off :D
