All my life from as far back as I can remember, I have always had a hand in some form of the arts; whether it was being on a school dance team, to playing the flute in the concert band, and being in more than one choir to drawing for my own personal love, to being an editor for the school yearbook, to my new love of taking part in drama Productions not matter how big or small. The arts in general have always played a big part in my life and have helped to shape me into the person I am today. My deep involvement in the arts was used as a life line many times to take me out of the negative situations that I found myself in.
In the more recent years since I’ve started high school, and began to focus on drama, I have realized that drama has become a rope that constantly pulled me out of the holes I found myself in. Knowing that so much was expected of me not only by teachers but by my peers as well severed as a constant reminder in the back of my head telling me that I had to set an example. Now looking back over the years, I can clearly see that the arts not matter what discipline as easily impacted me in an undoubtedly positive way shaping me in to the well rounded and disciplined young lady I am.
